Progressing through the age groups, he made his first appearance for the Toffees in the EFL Trophy in September 2021 in a 1-0 victory at Morecambe. Two more appearances in the same competition followed before a loan move across Merseyside to neighbours, Tranmere Rovers, materialised in January 2022. During his time at Prenton Park he made 17 appearances scoring his first senior goal against Harrogate Town in a 2-0 home win.
Warrington returned to Goodison Park and made his bow for the senior side in August 2022 in the League Cup at Fleetwood Town, coming on as a 64th-minute substitute as Everton won by a single goal. Two weeks later, he returned to Highbury joining the Cod Army on a season-long loan, playing a full part in the 2022-23 campaign making 44 appearances (five as substitute) in all competitions and netting once in the FA Cup against Oxford City.
In July 2023, the young midfielder signed for Argyle on another season-long loan.
