Born in Torquay and a left-sided central defender, he began his career with Exeter City, turning professional in April 2017.
He made his senior debut for City in November 2017, in the Football League Cup, and then his debut in the Football League, a little over a year later in December 2018.
Spending eight seasons in total with the Grecians, he played 154 times for the club, scoring four goals. Six of those season were in League Two, the last two were in League One and it was the final four seasons in which he made the majority of his appearances in red and white. He also picked up a League Two runner-up medal for the 2021-22 season as Exeter moved up a league. Earlier on in his City career he had a remarkable five loan spells with Truro City and three with Bath City both in the National League South.
In total he played 43 times and scored once for Truro and played 32 times and scored twice for Bath. Beyond those loans spells and having established himself in the side for the last four seasons of his stay at St James Park, in March 2024 his departure from the club was announced, having rejected the offer of a new contract.
In May 2024 it was announced that he would sign for Wycombe Wanderers from the start of July 2024. However, he struggled to settle in fully to their 2024-25 season League One side and only made 14 appearances before returning to Exeter City on loan, making a further 18 appearances and scoring once, also in League One.
Returning to his parent club Wycombe at the end of his loan in September 2025, he then signed for fellow League One club Burton Albion on a one-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
In the 2025-26 season he played 42 times for the Brewers, scoring three goals in their League One season as they successfully staved off relegation.
In early June he was unveiled as Argyle's first summer signing for the 2026-27 season, returning to Devon to join the club on a two-year deal.
