Came from: Charlton Athletic Went to:

A 6ft 3" central defender, who was born in Slough, Mitchell began playing for New Windsor Kestrels at the age of seven. Later, after trials with Brentford, Reading, Wycombe and Aldershot Town, he signed for Millwall in 2018.
In the 2020-21 season, having yet to debut at The Den, he was sent on loan to then National League side Bromley, where he made ten appearances without scoring. Buoyed by this, in August 2021 he signed a a new long-term contract with Millwall and made his senior bow for the Lions in a League Cup tie against Cambridge United, later that month.
At the end of that same month he moved on loan to Leyton Orient, where he made 30 League Two appearances without scoring in the 2021-22 season.
In July 2022, he then moved on loan to Scottish Premiership club St Johnstone where he made 29 appearances and scored his first senior goal (in a 1-2 home defeat against Celtic) as well as being named the Saints' Young Player of the Year in May 2023.
In August 2023, he was then sent to League One Lincoln City on a season-long loan making 41 appearances and scoring once.
Returning to Millwall in June 2024, Mitchell then joined fellow League One side Charlton Athletic on a three-year contract, for an undisclosed fee having not added to his single league cup appearance for Millwall. He made 35 appearances and scored twice in Charlton's successful run to the Play-off Final which saw their promotion to the Championship, passing Argyle on the way down. He had scored against Burton at home in the last game of the season but ended up being an unused substitute against Leyton Orient in the final at Wembley in May 2025.
With the mass exodus at Home Park following relegation from the Championship the season before and the poor start to the 2025-26 season back in League One, Mitchell became the club's eleventh summer signing and first loanee of the season, when he joined on a season-long loan. He had made just a single appearance for Charlton post-promotion, in a League Cup tie against Stevenage. Arriving at Home Park, he made his debut against former club Leyton Orient just 24 hours after signing but to no avail as Tom Cleverley's charges fell to their fourth successive league defeat from the start of the season.
