Greens on Screen started its life in 1999 before many of the football sites that we are familiar with today, including Plymouth Argyle's own official site. Greens on Screen is dedicated to the sights, sounds and history of Plymouth Argyle Football club. It is owned and run by the Plymouth Argyle Heritage Archive, a charity dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and display of the heritage of our great football club.

The site owes its existence to Steve Dean.Without Steve's dedication and commitment for over 25 years, GoS would not exist and be the valued and loved resource for all football fans that it is today. The site is truly the envy of many clubs, and we owe a huge debt to Steve for his tireless work, and continued support behind the scenes.

Greens on Screen's first page was published in January 1999. Its early purpose was to bring Plymouth Argyle a little closer to those unable to see their team, and whilst it has changed a great deal over the years, its core themes - sights and sounds for Westcountry exiles - still stand. The site was very lucky to take on the content of Trevor Scallan's Semper Viridis in the summer of 2007, and in 2009 launched GoS-DB, a wealth of facts and figures from PAFC's history. A year later, we embarked on a complete history of Argyle, with much-valued contributions from chapter authors. Greens on Screen was taken over by its new custodians, The Argyle Archive, in 2024.

Greens on Screen is an amateur website and proud of it. It is run by a team of volunteers from the Plymouth Argyle Heritage Archive (Argyle Archive). Without the hard work and much-valued contributions of these volunteers, running the site would not be possible. Greens on Screen is self-taught and as a result, a little bit quirky.

Greens on Screen remains advertisement free, which means we are grateful for the generous support of our donors and the work of our volunteers to help keep it free of promotions. DAN GRIMSHAW

Salford-born Grimshaw joined Manchester City's Academy at the age of 16 in 2014. After four years in the system, a first appearance for City's under-21s followed in October 2018 in the Football League Trophy at Tranmere in a 1-0 victory for the Blues' youngsters. After two more appearances in the same competition and a place on the bench in the first team for the League Cup game against Burton Albion, he signed a three-year deal with the Citizens in June 2018.

Five further Football League Trophy games followed during the 2019-20 season before a loan move to National League South side, Hemel Hempstead, materialised in January 2020, where he made seven appearances for the Hertfordshire-based side. A second loan move came to fruition in October 2020, when Grimshaw signed for Belgian First Division B side, Lommel SK, on a season-long loan, playing in 10 matches in total including making his full debut in a 1-1 draw with Westerlo.

Upon the expiration of his contract with Manchester City, Grimshaw made the move to Blackpool in July 2021, signing a two-year contract. In his first season at Bloomfield Road, he made the most of opportunites following injuries to Seasiders' captain, Chris Maxwell, making 29 appearances across all competitions, including a debut in a 3-0 League Cup win against Middlesbrough. At the beginning of the 2022-23 season, he signed a new, three-year contract with Blackpool and went on to make a further 18 appearances as the Tangerines suffered relegation to League One.

While making 47 appearances in all competitions during the 2023-24 season, Grimshaw firmly established himself as Blackpool's number one goalkeeper, keeping 18 clean sheets in a campaign that saw his side finish eighth in the table. He played his final match for Blackpool on August 17th 2024 against Stockport before signing for Argyle for an undisclosed fee just six days later, leaving Bloomfield Road with a total of 96 appearances under his belt. His debut for the Pilgrims came swiftly, in the League Cup clash with Watford at Vicarage Road, which was followed by his league bow for Wayne Rooney's side in an exhilarating 3-2 win at home to Sunderland.
