Birkenhead-born Warrington made his way through the youth system at Premier League Everton, who he joined at the age of six in 2008. Progressing through the age groups, he made his first appearance for the Toffees in the EFL Trophy in September 2021 in a 1-0 victory at Morecambe. Two more appearances in the same competition followed before a loan move across Merseyside to neighbours, Tranmere Rovers, materialised in January 2022. During his time at Prenton Park he made 17 appearances scoring his first senior goal against Harrogate Town in a 2-0 home win.
Warrington returned to Goodison Park and made his bow for the senior side in August 2022 in the League Cup at Fleetwood Town, coming on as a 64th-minute substitute as Everton won by a single goal. Two weeks later, he returned to Highbury joining the Cod Army on a season-long loan, playing a full part in the 2022-23 campaign making 44 appearances (five as substitute) in all competitions and netting once in the FA Cup against Oxford City.
In July 2023, the young midfielder signed for Argyle on another season-long loan. However, his opportunities at Home Park were limited. After making his debut in an EFL Cup win against Leyton Orient, Warrington went on to appear only four times for the Greens, in three starts and one substitute appearance.
The midfielder's only league start lasted just 45 minutes in a disappointing 4-1 defeat at Bristol City, and this proved to be the final appearance of his loan spell. Despite featuring in the match day squad on a further ten occasions, Warrington was not used again. Eventually, the lack of playing time and a training injury meant that Argyle and Everton agreed to end the loan in the January 2024 transfer window.
Warrington made his Premier League debut for Everton as a 89th minute substitute at Goodison Park in May 2024, in what was to be his only appearance for his boyhood club. A month later, the 21-year-old was released by the Toffees, and in July 2024 he joined League One side Leyton Orient on a two-year contract.
