Argyle signed Wooldridge from his first club, Crystal Palace, initially on loan. He started his only season at Home Park as first choice right-back but was dropped midway through the campaign. At the end of the year he moved to Colchester United but played only three games for the club before being released. He went on to play for Folkestone United.
