JIM MAILEY
Came from: Dundalk Went to: Swindon Town
First game: 16 October 1937 Last game: 10 April 1939
Appearances: 15 (15/0) Goals: 1
After starting out with his hometown team, the Dundalk-born outside-left moved across the Irish Sea to register with Fulham in 1936, but made no League appearances for the club. Mailey moved on to Home Park a year later, but despite a spell that included 11 successive games on the Argyle left flank in the spring of 1939, he never fully established himself. Moving to Swindon Town that summer, his call-up to the Army at the start of the Second World War ended his career without a game for the Wiltshire side.
