JOHN JOBSON
Born: 08 August 1903
Came from: Washington Colliery Went to: Hartlepools United
First game: 27 January 1923 Last game: 27 January 1923
Appearances: 1 (1/0) Goals: 0
The Hebburn-born half-back made just a single appearance for Argyle after making the long move south, having started out with Washington Colliery. If his League career stuttered with Argyle, it soon took off when he returned north the following season, and he clocked up centuries of games for both Hartlepools United and Stockport County across the next seven years. A second attempt at life in the south lasted just a little longer than the first, making four appearances for Queens Park Rangers in 1932. Again he swiftly returned to the North East, this time finishing his League career with Gateshead.
