NEIL ILLMAN
Born: 29 April 1975
Came from: Eastwood Town Went to: Exeter City
First game: 15 October 1996 Last game: 15 November 1997
Appearances: 37 (16/21) Goals: 5
Illman was a striker who began his career with Middlesbrough but made just a handful of appearances before being released and moving to Eastwood Town. His goalscoring record there brought him to the attention of Neil Warnock, who signed him for Argyle after a protracted transfer saga on deadline day in 1996. However, the arrival of Carlo Corazzin on the same day meant that Illman's chances would be limited, so he immediately joined Cambridge United on loan for the remainder of the season. After returning to Home Park he could not break into the first team and moved on to Exeter City. Illman then returned to non-league football with Northwich Victoria before loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and Frickley Athletic. He then moved to Stevenage Borough and ended his career back with Northwich.
