Came from: Rangers Went to: Released
First game: 06 August 2005 Last game: 15 September 2007
Appearances: 44 (19/25) Goals: 4
Djordjic joined Argyle on a free transfer after he was released by Glasgow Rangers. The Belgrade-born winger joined Manchester United at the age of 16 from Swedish side Brommapojkarna IF but made only two first team appearances in over five years at Old Trafford. A Swedish under-21 international, he had loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Aarhus and Red Star Belgrade before moving to Rangers.
He was unable to establish himself in the Argyle first team and, after falling out of favour with Ian Holloway, spent a period playing South Western League football with the Argyle's youth team. He worked his way back into the first team and scored three goals in three games before suffering a broken nose. Unable to regain his place in the team, he agreed a contract settlement and returned to Sweden to play for AIK.
Djordjic continued his nomadic career with brief spells at Videoton (Hungary), Blackpool (again under Holloway, but failed to make a single appearance), Royal Antwerp (Belgium), before returning to Brommapojkarna, the club at which he was noticed by the Red Devils. After 25 appearances for the Swedish side he then moved across Stockholm to sign for Vasalund, for whom he played 13 times.
He then moved to India in August 2014, where he was picked in the inaugural Indian Super League International Draft, signing for Chennai-based side Chennaiyin, for whom he played nine times (in a 14-game season). Often used as captain under coach Marco Materazzi (the Italian World Cup-winning defender), Chennaiyin finished in first place in the inaugural season but lost in the play-offs at the semi-final stage.
Back in Sweden, he became a football pundit and was involved in TV coverage of the Olympic Games in Rio do Janeiro in 2016.
