One of a plethora of strikers to don the green shirt during Kevin Hodges' unsuccessful reign in the late 1990s, Dublin-born Crowe joined Argyle in February 1999 after being released by Wolves. The flame-haired striker stayed at Home Park until the end of the season, and registered just a single goal in 11 appearances.
Unwanted in England, Crowe returned to the sanctuary of the League of Ireland, where his prolific form earned him two non-scoring caps for the Republic.
