Buzsaky signed for Argyle on loan from Porto in January 2005, a move that was made permanent after impressing Bobby Williamson during the five month spell. A former Hungarian Under-21 international captain, he joined Jose Mourinho’s Porto from MTK Budapest in July 2002, had a loan spell with Portuguese side Academica de Coimbra and also played for the Porto 'B' side in the Portuguese third division. Injuries affected his performances throughout the 2005-06 season, but his form did lead to a call up to the Hungarian national team.
One of the most talented players ever to grace the Argyle midfield, Buzsaky turned down Ian Holloway's offer of a new contract in October 2007. Rather than let him leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, the club loaned him to Queens Park Rangers, a move made permanent for £500,000 two months later.
'Buzz' won promotion to the Premier League with QPR in 2011, and like at Argyle, became a firm fans' favourite at the Hoops. A succession of knee problems blighted his once promising career and he left Loftus Road the following year under an injury cloud. He made six appearances for Portsmouth in October 2012 and also played five times whilst on loan at Barnsley. Returning to his homeland in the summer of 2013, he earned a two-year deal with legendary Hungarian side Ferencváros, where again he only managed sporadic appearances.
Buzsaky's contract with Ferencváros expired at the end of the 2014-15 season, and in October 2015 he announced his retirement from football following a long battle with knee injuries.
