Marosi, born in Michalovce, Slovakia in October 1993, was studying at Burnley College when he was spotted playing for Barnoldswick Town by Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez in 2013. After completing an advanced diploma in Public Services, he signed for the Latics after an impressive trial, although a change in manager limited opportunities for the inexperienced stopper. In August 2014, he signed for Doncaster Rovers on a two-year contract, making his debut from the bench in a 3-0 defeat at Walsall. First-team appearances were limited during his first two years at the Keepmoat Stadium, but in the 2016-17 season he made 29 appearances in all competitions, securing seven clean sheets as Rovers gained promotion from League Two.
A mixed campaign followed in League One during the 2017-18 season, although Marosi regained his place in the starting line up during the run-in and retained his spot thereafter. Surprisingly, after 42 appearances during the 2018-19 season, he was released by Rovers at the conclusion of the league programme. He was not without a club for long as Coventry City swooped to secure his signature and he made his debut for the Sky Blues in a 1-0 win at home to Southend at the beginning of the 2019-20 season. 39 more appearances across all competitions earned him the number one spot in the PFA Team of the Year for League One as Coventry clinched the league title. 21 games in the Championship during the following season led to a move to League One Shrewsbury Town in June 2021, signing with the Shrews for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.
He swiftly established himself at New Meadow, making 50 appearances in his first season, which included 14 clean sheets. Two more almost-full seasons followed and it was a surprise to many when Marosi was released by the Shrews after 133 appearances for the club. Perhaps even more surprising was the lack of potential suitors for the out of contract keeper, who remained without a club at the start of the 2024-25 season. When Argyle's Conor Hazard suffered an ankle injury early in the new campaign, the Pilgrims moved swiftly to sign him on a short-term contract.
