Nigerian-born Tijani played much of his youth football at 36 Lion FC before joining Czech side Banik Ostrava's youth system at the age of 18 in September 2018. Almost a year later, he signed his first professional contract, having featured for the Nigerian under-20 side in the FIFA under-20 World Cup, making his debut against Qatar on May 24th and scoring his first goal six days later from the penalty spot against Ukraine.

He returned to Ostrava before heading out on loan to FK Trinec in the Czech National League. This was followed by another loan spell at MFK Korvina in the Czech First League before he finally made his debut for Banik Ostrava in August 2020 in a 2-2 draw with C. Budejovice. His first goal for Ostrava came in a 3-0 win over Pardubice, his only strike in ten appearances during the first half of the season. A second loan spell, back at Trinec, transpired during the second half of the 2020/21 campaign as Tijani sought to gain experience and game time. The following season saw him begin to flourish during a loan spell at Taborsko in the Czech National League, where he found the net 13 times in 33 appearances. This earned him a run in the Banik Ostrava side during the following campaign, where he scored 10 goals in 32 games, with the majority coming in a spell of seven goals in eight games towards the end of the 2022/23 season.

A move to Slavia Prague beckoned for a fee in the region of 1.2 million Euros and Tijani's first goal for his new club came against his former employers in a 1-0 victory in just his third appearance. He made his Europa League bow in the following game and found the net in a 2-0 victory over Zorya. By the end of the campaign, he had racked up 30 appearances across all competitions, scoring four times, as Slavia Prague finished as runners-up in the Czech First League.

On July 2nd 2024, the powerful 6ft 2in striker joined Argyle on a season-long loan and made his debut at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday on the opening day of the 2024-25 season, but after making just two further league appearances, both as a substitute, he tore his hamstring in training in October 2024.

Tijani returned to the side with the club languishing in the bottom reaches of the Championship in the New Year and weighed in with a couple of goals and developed somewhat of a cult following, given his obvious physical presence. However, following Argyle's relegation from the Championship, his loan spell ended and he returned to his parent club.

Still under contract to Slavia Prague until 2028, in July 2025, he joined rival Czech side Sigma Olomouc on a one-year loan deal, scoring a spectacular scissor-kick type goal against Slovan Liberec, just three minutes after coming on as a substitute to make his debut, sealing a 2-1 victory for his new club.

In total he made five starts and 16 substitute appearances, including in the Europa and the Europa Conference Leagues, but scored only that one goal. In January 2026, his loan was cut short and he moved to Hungarian top-flight side, Nyíregyháza Spartacus, on loan for the rest of the 2025-26 season.
