Edwards became the first Argyle signing of the Ryan Lowe era.
A former Bristol City and Yeovil Town defender, he arrived at Home Park after three seasons with Walsall. During his career he played full-back or midfield and joined up with former Yeovil team-mate Joel Grant at Home Park, and was also at Bristol City at the same time as Ryan Taylor.
Born in Gloucester, he started his career with Bristol City's academy following a spell with Aston Villa. He made four first team appearances for City and was loaned to Bath City, Stockport County and twice to Yeovil Town before making his move to the Huish permanent, and was ever-present during their Championship season of 2013-14.
He then had spells with Colchester United and Walsall before moving to Home Park in the summer of 2019, having accumulated over 300 senior appearances in his ten-year career.
