Dann, an inside-forward from Penzance, began his career with his hometown club, before joining Argyle in 1959. He made a few appearances during his single season at Home Park but was released and moved on to Sittingbourne. He had one further stab at League football with Torquay United in 1962, playing just once, before a spell with Margate.
