ANDREW WILSON
Born: 31 December 1899
Came from: Dunipace Thistle Went to: Alloa Athletic
First game: 20 January 1923 Last game: 09 April 1923
Appearances: 3 (3/0) Goals: 0
Wilson was born in Dunipace, Stirlingshire, and started his career with his local side, Dunipace Thistle. Like so many of his time, he then moved south of the border in search of football, signing for Argyle in 1922. However, with Patsy Corcoran in fine form on the right-wing, chances were hard to come by and he made just three appearances in his time, failing to finish on the winning side.
In August 1923, the promising right-winger move backed to Scotland to play for Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Second Division, although it appears that Argyle retained his registration. Twelve months later he signed for Yeovil & Petters United, where he scored ten goals in 79 appearances across three seasons with the Somerset club.
Some 30 years later, Wilson's son Ronnie played regularly as a full-back for Argyle Reserves.
