CHRIS TWIDDY
Born: 19 January 1976
Came from: Trainee Went to: Liv/Fossekallen
First game: 23 August 1994 Last game: 06 January 1996
Appearances: 25 (19/6) Goals: 1
A Wales U21 international and a star of Argyle's early-90s youth setup, much was expected of Ryan Giggs-lookalike Twiddy. But the tricky right winger was unfortunate that his eventual arrival onto the first team stage coincided with a desperate fight for survival as the Peter Shilton era entered its death throes. Twiddy notched up 13 league appearances in the relegation season of 1994-95, but never quite reproduced his promising form with the youth team and was eventually released in 1996 by Neil Warnock. The Welshman went on to enjoy a modicum of success in Norway - most notably with Ham-Kam, for whom he scored 19 goals in 49 appearances.
