HUGH MCJARROW
Born: 29 January 1928
Came from: Luton Town Went to: Peterborough United
First game: 19 December 1953 Last game: 07 April 1956
Appearances: 33 (33/0) Goals: 4
McJarrow was born in Motherwell and began his career with local Scottish Junior side, Maryhill. Moving south, he spent four seasons with Chesterfield, mainly on the fringes of the first team. However, a decent goalscoring record when he did play led to a move to Sheffield Wednesday where he scored 21 goals in 46 games in his two years with the club. After a disappointing spell with Luton Town he moved to Home Park, where his goals ratio did not improve, but his form did after a switch from centre-forward to wing-half. On leaving Home Park he ended his career with then non-league Peterborough United.
