Came from: Toronto Lynx Went to: Released
First game: 22 September 2001 Last game: 13 April 2004

Bent played college ‘soccer’ at the University of Maryland before beginning his professional career with FSV Zwickau in Germany. He moved back to the States with the Colorado Rapids before joining Argyle after a protracted work permit application finally succeeded. A full international who also played for Canada at all age levels, Bent was a classy midfielder whose time at Argyle was interrupted by a series of injuries. After suffering a serious knee injury playing for his country, he only played two more games for Argyle and was released at the end of his contract. Despite spending two years trying to regain full fitness Bent was finally forced to retire.
Bent began his managerial career as a coach for Toronto FC academy in 2008. In February 2011 he progressed to be the assistant coach for the first team. In November 2014, Toronto FC formed another team, now named Toronto FC II, to play in the USL PRO series (North America's third tier) and Bent became that team's head coach.

You snooze, you lose - someone had to get it in first - responsible for one of the finest Argyle chants: "Who the f**k is Edgar Davids, when we've got Jason, Bent, Bent, Bent!". Simple, yet genius.
