Came from: Aston Villa Went to: Aston Villa
First game: 23 February 1985 Last game: 16 March 1985

Short in both name and stature, Obi was born in Marston Green, near Birmingham, and was signed by Aston Villa from Harborne Boys. He didn't manage a first team appearance for Villa but did win an England Youth cap as a substitute in 1983. He played for both Walsall and Argyle in loan spells from Villa Park in the 1984-85 season before finally moving permanently to Bristol Rovers at the end of that season on a non-contract basis. A single appearance for Rovers was followed by a move to Oxford United later that year. His stay at the Manor Ground was also brief but included a ten-game loan spell with Brentford in 1986-87 before finally moving to Oostende in Belgium where he later became part-owner of a bar and restaurant.
