Crowe played one game for Argyle whilst on loan from Stoke City, after which he requested that the loan be cancelled for personal reasons, which led to him joining Luton Town just a few days later. After beginning his career at Stoke with an impressive goalscoring record, he also spent periods on loan to Northampton Town and Bury before joining Luton permanently. A broken leg cost him his place in the side and he joined York City on loan before moving on to Oldham Athletic. He went on to play for Leek Town, Stockport County and Witton Albion.
