One of a batch of players Argyle boss Dave Kemp brought to Home Park from former club Wimbledon, Clement will always be unfavourably associated with Kemp's struggling band of long-ball merchants. A pocket-sized fullback, the Cardiff-born defender had a handful of top-flight appearances under his belt from his Wimbledon days, but Argyle fans never saw the best of him and he was instantly transfer listed when Peter Shilton replaced Kemp as Argyle boss in March 1992. He slipped straight into non-league football with Woking, before having spells as manager at Bisley and Farnborough.
