Battle, a pupil at Plymstock School, represented Plymouth Schoolboys' under-15 team and also played for local side Keyham Kolts before joining Argyle's Academy in 2013 at the age of 14.
He made a quick impression as an attacker and went on to create and score goals in the side that won the Youth Alliance League and promotion to the Peninsula Premier League in the 2015-16 season, and after completing a two-year apprenticeship, he was awarded a professional development contract by Argyle manager Derek Adams.
Battle was handed his first team debut as a 78th minute substitute in the last game of the 2017-18 season, a 5-2 defeat at Gillingham, with injuries taking their toll on Argyle's play-off ambitions. Having made that youthful debut for Argyle, it was reported in July 2018 that he had turned down an offer of an extended contract at Home Park and was training with Bolton Wanderers, a club he had trained with previously. However, with Bolton already in a dispute with players over unpaid wages, the Trotters were unable to agree a youth compensation fee with Argyle. Later that month, Battle finally agreed a professional contract at Home Park.
He made his only start in a Football League Trophy match at Newport County in November 2018 and was one of six teenage Pilgrims on the pitch at the final whistle. Then in January 2019, Battle was loaned to National League South side Truro City for the rest of the campaign to further his development, but a double-blow was to come: Truro were unable to avoid relegation and he was released by a managerless Argyle at the end of the 2018-19 season. A few months later, in September 2019, the 20-year-old signed a permanent contract for Truro in the Southern League Premier South.
In May 2020 his contract at Truro was extended for the 2020–21 season. Then in September 2021, Battle signed for EFL League Two club Crawley Town on a one-year deal after a trial at the club. He made his debut later that day as a substitute in a 1–0 defeat at Bristol Rovers. In December 2021, Battle joined Isthmian League South East Division side East Grinstead Town on a 28-day loan deal, which was then extended until the end of January. In February 2022 he re-joined former club Truro City on loan for the remainder of that season.
Despite the offer of an extended professional contract by Crawley, Battle left at the end of his contract and elected to return closer to home in pursuit of more regular football, signing for ambitious Southern League newcomers Tavistock in July 2022.
