Full Name: Paul-Arnold Garita
Born: 18 June 1995
Came from: Bristol City Went to: Bristol City
First game: 03 September 2016 Last game: 22 April 2017
Appearances: 17 (10/7) Goals: 2
Garita came to Home Park on the last day of the August 2016 transfer window, on loan from Bristol City, initially until January 16, 2017.
Paul-Arnold, usually known as Arnold or Arnie, was born in Douala, Cameroon, sharing a birthplace with ex-Pilgrim Rudi Douala (whose surname matched the country's largest city). Moving to France, Garita was awarded a youth contract with Chateauroux, and by the age of 17 his free-scoring record in the youth sides drew the attention of clubs across Europe, including, according to newspaper reports, Arsenal and Newcastle. However, he remained in France for another three years, scoring nine goals in 34 senior games, before crossing the Channel to Bristol for a £50,000 fee in January 2016.
The young striker established himself in the Robins' under-21 side before making his first-team debut as a League Cup substitute, three weeks before his arrival in Plymouth. Hampered by injuries over the following months, Garita still managed to make a significant impact, especially in a 2-0 win at Exeter where he scored after a barnstorming run. In January 2017 his loan agreement was extended until the end of the season.
